Ringway Wiltshire Parish Stewards key in helping achieve Best Kept Villages accolade

Three Ringway Wiltshire Parish Stewards have been praised for their key role in helping three villages achieve prestigious local accolades.

Adrian Harding-Wyatt, Mark Hawkin-Wyatt and Dave Catley were all hailed by senior county dignitaries during the presentation of plaques to mark three awards handed out by the Campaign to Protect Rural England (Wiltshire).

Adrian is the Parish Steward for Hullavington which won the award for Best Kept Large Village, and his son-in-law Mark is the Parish Steward for Biddestone which was named Best Kept Medium Village. Dave was instrumental in helping the village of Charlton achieve the honour of being named Best Kept Small Village.

Ringway Wiltshire’s Parish Stewards carry out minor highways work which has been set for them by the local community.

Mick Buckler, Divisional Manager at Ringway Wiltshire, said: “Adrian, Mark and Dave are all extremely dedicated to their work and the local communities they serve, and the Best Kept Village awards are recognition of that. It was great to see their hard work highlighted by the local dignitaries who were presented with the accolades from the Campaign to Protect Rural England.”

Mark attended the presentation event in Biddestone in the presence of dignitaries which included Baroness Jane Scott of Bybrook; Leader of Wiltshire Council, Mrs Sarah Troughton; Lord-Lieutenant for Wiltshire, Cllr Alison Bucknall and High Sheriff of Wiltshire, Mrs Nicky Alberry.
